Glass Ankle to play Barnaby Festival 2016

We are very excited at GA HQ to announce that the band are performing at Barnaby Festival 2016! This year will mark 6 years since Chika and Greg performed at the very first Barnaby Festival in 2010, a privilege they earned from winning the battle of the bands competition which ran prior to the main event (..it can’t be that long ago, surely?! Please!!). Since then, the festival, held in Macclesfield (the town a few of us grew up in!), has gone on from strength to strength.
Glass Ankle will perform as part of The Gimp Twister Music Lounge, which is billed as “a place for ambient tunes, the best in breakthrough music”. For those who are a little confused by the event name, all you need to know is that Macclesfield was once a town known for its silk industry, thus the word ‘gimp’ is here used to pay homage to that fact. Glass Ankle will take to the stage outside St Michael’s Church on Saturday 18th June at 18:25. There is no entrance fee as such, however as attendees you are encouraged to pay what you can.
